LaFloy Flow Project Inc. is committed to increasing equitable access to perinatal wellness services—including yoga, doula care, and restorative practices—for individuals and families who cannot afford the support they need. Our mission is to promote safer pregnancies, empowered birth experiences, and stronger postpartum recovery by eliminating financial barriers to essential care.

Programs

Guiding Hands Doula Support Services

Guiding Hands offers free or low-cost birth and postpartum doula care for mothers facing financial or systemic barriers. Services include childbirth education, continuous labor support, postpartum recovery planning, lactation guidance, and newborn care assistance. Our doulas provide culturally responsive support so every mother feels seen, empowered, and cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Nurture & Nourish Prenatal/Postpartum Yoga Program

Nurture & Nourish provides gentle prenatal and postpartum yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness for expectant and new mothers from low-income families. The program reduces stress, promotes physical comfort, and builds emotional resilience. Educational moments on self-care, infant bonding, and community resources ensure each mother receives holistic support in a safe, affirming space.

Restore & Rise Yoga for Caregivers Program

Restore & Rise offers restorative yoga, guided meditation, and nervous-system regulation for healthcare workers, educators, and parents of children with special needs. The series helps caregivers release stress, replenish well-being, and honor the emotional labor of their roles. Classes provide a peaceful space to reset, breathe, and rebuild inner strength.

Steady Partner: Yin for Supporters

A grounding yin yoga class for expectant and new partners to unwind tension, build emotional resilience, and learn supportive techniques for pregnancy and postpartum. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and rest, participants gain tools to ease stress and show up as steady, compassionate support for the mothers in their lives.

Several studies show that participating in prenatal yoga classes lessens the time in labor and delivery, it reduces tears and helps to relieve back pain and other pregnancy related ailments.

Restorative yoga helps regulate the nervous system, which you may find less propensity for burn out. It aids in better sleep quality, lessens anxiety, and can provide a boost to your immune system.
